With more than 2 times the power output of standard ultrasonic pest control units, this is the most powerful electronic pest control device in the market. Emits high frequency sound waves that effectively repel rodents from protected areas. For use in larger rooms, kitchens, garages, attics and basements. 6-foot cord enables ideal placement. The sound is completely inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. Varying intensity and frequencies of ultrasonic sound waves prevents rodents from getting used to the Victor Sonic PestChaser. Since the sound is inaudible, a red LED light tells you the unit is working properly. It's kinder than traps, safer than poisons, and there are no dead rodents to dispose of, so it minimizes human contact with mice, rats, and other disease-bearing rodents. Reduction in rodent activity should occur within 6-10 days. Estimated service life of the unit is 5-7 years or more. Note: Ultrasonic sound cannot penetrate furniture, cabinets or walls. Multiple units required for multiple rooms.

Works well if placed correctlyJun 02, 2012
By Carolyn Andrews I lived in an outbuilding in the middle of a garden with trees and my landlord's horrible woodpile...or rather his rat pile. Tired of his useless trapping efforts, I bought and used several types of sonic repellers which finally helped me solve my problem. They also worked for the raccoons, opossums and other critters that bunked under and around my house. Finally I bought this one which I found to be the best for me. They all claim to be inaudible to humans although I can hear a sound, especially with the ones that plug into the wall and use the wiring. The sound didn't bother me, but it bothered one woman at work a lot. Most people didn't hear anything. I found this one to be the quietest and also the most powerful of the ones I tried. I aimed this device at the source of any sounds (nighttime gnawing or scratching) and they would go away. Mice and rats would go more quickly, sometimes immediately. Larger animals might try to stick it out for a day. However, they also sometimes showed up in a new corner of the house after some time. I would turn the device that way and resolve the issue. Later I bought more than one and stayed pretty much alone for a change! I have recommended these to many people including the Orkin man who didn't want to hear about it.

I can't believe it works!Apr 21, 2012
By Dinna Rosenthal, M.D. We have an ongoing problem with squirrels up in our attic. They come twice a year to have babies then , they're gone. We tried another electronic pest control, rat poison mixed with peanut butter, BB gun, pellet gun, air gun. Nothing worked. We also cleaned the nests and sprayed chlorox. We saw this at one of the big box home improvement store during one of our shopping trips. We bought it out of desperation. We got 4 and placed them in 4 corners of our attic. The squirrels are gone! It has been 2 months and still nothing. If anything changes I will update this review. But for now, I highly recommend this product.

Worked great for us!Oct 13, 2010
By Lindybell We suddenly had a lot of mouse droppings in our garage--mostly up the middle between the cars on a long piece of carpet we use for a mat. Tried glue traps, and then snap traps with peanutbutter, and caught nothing, with new droppings every morning. Got this Pest Chaser, read the directions carefully, and placed it on the floor in the corner next to the garage door so that one speaker pointed straight across the entire width of the door, which caused the other speaker to point 90 degrees along the side wall. There was nothing to block the sound waves. The first morning, the droppings were drastically reduced, and the next morning there were none! We've had it for over 2 weeks now, and have have no more evidence of visitors. Read the directions carefully--you'll find that placement is critical as the high frequency sound waves are easily deflected or absorbed, and don't fill the room like audible ones.

I bought this item to deal with the rats in my apartment. They were not the least bit bothered by it and ate food that was right beside it on the table where i put it.Also, the seller told me to return it for a full refund but it has been more than three weeks since they recieved it and they have not responded to any of my e-mails so i have to go through amazon to get results.I also had to pay $21.00 to return it.DO NOT BUY THIS SELLER IS A THIEF!!(ProMax)

Tested and provedFeb 02, 2012
By pipelayerification I was very skeptical after reading the other reviews. I purchased it and then ended up purchasing an electronic Agri Zap RZU001 Rat Zapper Ultra as well. I put the pest chaser on a shelf and enjoyed the novelty of electrocuting the nuisance pests for awhile. I am living in a fifth wheel trailer in the middle of nowhere on a job site and the rodent population seems to be never-ending (They loved the basement of my trailer. I would catch on average 8 rodents a week for 3 straight months). I had to leave for 2 weeks near Christmas and was worried about not being able to empty the electronic traps so I opened up the pest chaser and plugged it in. It is now February and I have not caught a single rodent in any of the traps (electronic or regular). That's proof enough for me. I would highly recommend this device.
