The Victor Mini PestChaser emits high frequency sound waves that effectively repel rodents from protected areas. For use in average-sized rooms, kitchens, garages, attics and basements. The sound is completely inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. Varying intensity and frequencies of ultrasonic sound waves prevents rodents from getting used to the Victor Mini PestChaser. Since the sound is inaudible, a red LED light tells you the unit is working properly. It's kinder than traps, safer than poisons, and there are no dead rodents to dispose of so it minimizes human contact with mice, rats, and other disease-bearing rodents. Reduction in rodent activity should occur within 6-10 days. Estimated service life of the unit is 5-7 years or more. Note: Ultrasonic sound cannot penetrate furniture, cabinets or walls. They really work - Really!Feb 11, 2009

We have a 120yr. old home - planks w/lath & horsehair plaster - that we have lived in for 28yrs. EVERY fall we get mice. We tried everything to keep them out. The spare bedroom ceiling & our living room ceiling was "mouse central" & was so embrassing when people stayed over. This year we bought these pest chasers & we haven't had one mouse yet. NOT ONE! We put one in the basement where we see dropings, one in the spare bedroom, one in the ceiling of the living room (we have a porcelian socket w/plug up there) & the other on the wall they scooted up. The things are very small & buzz gently but the sound is not too bad. We bought them based on Victor's rep with pest control. We are very happy with them. We are shocked but very happy. We have an 11yr. old cat who misses her late night chases but has never shown any signs she even knows the things are pluged in.

I received what I ordered and expected (Victor® Mini PestChaser® Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent 4-Pack), in a timely fashion, i.e. within the range of the delivery estimate, and in good condition. Three of the four "Ultrasonic" units I can hear, making them not only questionable but not what is advertised. I live in the country and rodents are a common concern. I was hoping this would solve my rodent issue. It has not. Not even close. The traps are going strong and I cannot say if these "Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent" things are doing anything at all. I am sure three of them are not. The noticeable electrical hum can be hard to take in a confined space like a bath room. I could not and would not recommend this product to anyone.

We had a problem with mice hiding behind the refrigerator and eating the insullation. I used THREE of these "repellants" plugged into a power strip behind the refrigerator. Whether you buy the 3-pack or the 4-pack, there's no effect whatsoever. I think the mice are setting up a disco-ball behind the frig now.

Everyone hates to discover the sight of mice droppings, and i wont tolerate it in my home, especially on my STOVE. So after much research we bought this and pure peppermint oil when we moved in to our new apartment. We were still seeing them in the first few weeks without the oil, but i read that it takes a while to flush them out since the sound really bothers them, but i have no patience for them, so we put down a few drops of peppermint oil in the kitchen and not one dropping since. It's been 2 months! we were seeing 2/3 droppings on our brand new, cleaned with clorox at the end of every night stove. I do apologize to those trying to make the decision on getting one of these, i know you are wondering if its the oil or the ultra sonic but i'm afraid to remove either because i think it's a strong enough combination. The ultra sonic repellent is quiet (white noise), very small and discrete. Hope this is helpful.

We purchased these rodent repellents when we were putting our motorhome in storage for the winter. The area was 8 feet x 33 feet. We placed the units at regular intervals throughout the RV. When we opened the RV up in the spring, we found mouse droppings everywhere, sometimes within 6 inches of the units. They did nothing to control the problem.
