5Great Book for Those Heading Toward MarriageJun 28, 2012
By Tech Guy
With several friends and family members being divorced, and heading toward a marriage in my future, I want make sure I am armed with as much helpful information as possible so I can stay married for life. This book had a great overview of marriage trends and statistics, but also got into very detailed scenarios too. I recommend this book to anyone looking to build a strong marriage (like me) or possibly identify existing problem spots.

5Great Well-Researched Guide!Apr 12, 2012
By The Survivor
I bought this book shortly after I finished Chesser's other book (12 Proven Steps to Have a Healthy Marriage, Prevent Divorce and Keep Your Romance Alive (Marriage Counseling). Both books look at marriage in a different way. I especially liked how this one looked at all the things that can destroy a marriage and how to avoid them before you even start. For someone like me who has been married for decades, it was a helpful reminder of what I need to do to keep things loving and strong. And for someone like me who enjoys statistics and research, I loved all of the facts and studies that were in this book too. Recommended to anyone in a relationship, especially if you're thinking about getting married.

What a great book! I'm getting married soon and plan to have a great family with new husband, so this book came at a perfect time. I especially liked the section about husbands and wives becoming parents and all the pitfalls to avoid. I definitely look forward to reading more from Richard Chesser!

5A very interesting big picture look at marriageApr 02, 2012
By L. Jaeger
This book is full of societal information explaining exactly why people have trouble making their marriage work. There needs to be a lot more thought that goes into picking your mate. There were quite a few criteria that I hadn't thought of before, which helped my husband and I look at things a little differently with each other. I recommend this book, especially for people who are not married yet and are thinking about getting married.

5So trueMay 27, 2013
By Nadine Southee
This book is a real eye opener because it is so true to all the things that we do wrong in a relationship. I know that my mind does cause me to have negative thoughts about my hubby and really do any of the small things really matter.
