5You can't break theseMay 20, 2009

These are very rugged, and won't rust because they are aluminum. If there ever is a problem they are covered by a lifetime warranty by fiskars, so I don't really see how you could go wrong. There is no way you could break these things under any sort of normal use.

5Great deal on the standard garden hand toolsFeb 08, 2008
By DustyBeard
Cast aluminum garden tools are the way to go...bought my first in 1975, coated the handles in plastic dip and until stolen early this year, they were as good as new. Amazon made me an offer I could not refuse and this set has the perfect tools with nice grips. Bought two sets for my retirement (huge) garden.

Really this Is a great set of garden tools with GREAT handles. Non bendable or breakable.
Well worth the money for any gardner.
I've had cheaper one's that just don't make It or they bend easily.
You won't be sorry with this set.

1Well, yes you can break this Trowel!Jun 04, 2012

Purchased this set as I have, in the past, found Fiskars to be a good product. However, while digging weeds from my garden; the head snapped from the handle. Although the head is metal, inside the handle, it is attached via a Plastic insert. The plastic is attached to the head and then pressure inserted into the handle. Pressure on the handle in the digging motion can Snap the handle and it cannot be repaired. Not a good design.

1Weak HandlesMar 30, 2012

I bought these from a local store. I liked how they looked and felt but they broke after only a few uses. They are just fine for light tasks but as soon as you put any leverage on them to dig up something like a root ball they very easily snap in half at the joint. Not recommended.
